Hunter Valley Strings was born when Rodney & Anthea Wikstrom joined with Newcastle professional musicians to serve the Hunter region with string trio and quartet live entertainment.

They bring with them the experience having performed at over 1000 bookings throughout Sydney and beyond

Your Event – We perform at all events including weddings, receptions, corporate, commercial, birthday parties, wakes, recording sessions and much more.

Ensembles – We offer string quartet, string trio and other ensembles depending on your occasion. For more information on our ensembles please click here.

Locations – Hunter Valley Strings will travel to Hunter Valley wine region (Pokolbin / Rothbury), Newcastle & Maitland at no extra cost. Broke, Wollombi, Singleton, Port Stephens & Central Coast may incur a travel fee.

Music – We perform a wide range of repertoire ranging from the classics of Mozart, Vivaldi & Bach through to todays ballads, pop songs & special requests. We will play up to 3 special requests not from our repertoire list at no extra charge. Click to watch and listen to us play.

Prices – We offer 60 or 75-minute package complete for trio or quartet with up to 3 special request songs for Newcastle, Hunter Valley vineyards & Maitland bookings. Longer bookings are also available. Click here to view our current prices.

Dress Code – Musicians’ standard dress code is a professional and discreet appearance of all black. Musicians can dress accordingly to your event’s dress code.
